Hey Ana
How is everything? As I said last time, these last weeks I have many exams, but I have looked for a space to write and tell you about my weekend.

Last Saturday

, my family and I were preparing my sister's presents. On Saturday we celebrated her birthday. She was 23. We went to Candelaria to eat in a greenhouse. They renovated it and made it into a restaurant. We continued the afternoon with the family of my sister's boyfriend, talking and having a drink in a bar.

My Travel Blog

was when I was five or six years old.
I went with my parents and my sister to visit Paris. We were a few days at Disneyland Paris. It is an amusement park, with different types of attractions and activities. One hour of the day, there is a cavalcade with all

Darcy's Proposal in Pride and Prejudice: A Critical Analysis

page 35 (the proposal)Paula Alvarez

Jane Austen, throughout the novel Pride and Prejudice, uses various stylistic techniques to emphasize the tone and mood of her characters. Mr. Darcy's proposal in Chapter 34 takes readers by surprise. While his strong feelings for Elizabeth Bennet were evident, his manner of proposing and presenting himself was by no means gentlemanly, making Elizabeth's rejection of his rude offer unsurprising.

Elizabeth's Emotional Turmoil and Darcy's Arrogance

Elizabeth experiences a range of emotions towards Mr. Darcy's shocking proposal. He declares, “you must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” His declaration is straightforward and honest, and the adverb “ardently” highlights the strength... ATTEMPT TO KIDNAP OF ENGLISH TEACHER
On Thursday morning at eleven o’clock, while I was talking with some friends, there
was an attempt to kidnap Eustakia Marin, the english teacher.
We were talking near the technology department when we saw Eustakia, without
knowing it will be the last time. Suddenly, we heard a noise coming from the inside of
the classroom. Then we saw a man following the english teacher inside the room.
Eventually, we entered into the technology department and we saw the teacher tied
to a chair and a man escaping through the window. Later we were informed that he
was her ex-husband, who was trying to hurt EUSTAKIA, in revenge for marring a new
man. Eustakia felt really scared, but fortunately now she is married to a good man.
I

Environmental Responsibility: Everyone Can Make a Difference

In my opinion, everyone can help take care of the environment by contributing their grain of sand and helping to reduce pollution.

Small Actions, Big Impact

  • Everyone can do small things to help the environment, such as recycling, so that each waste goes to its corresponding place.
  • We can also use public transport, since it pollutes much less.
  • Using bicycles or walking can also help the environment and our health.

The Consequences of Inaction

However, people also do things that exacerbate the problem, like using cars excessively, resulting in serious pollution. Throwing garbage into the seas does not help the world to improve.

If we continue like this, in a very few years, the world will be... Continue reading "Environmental Responsibility, Cultural Differences, and Robotic Pets" »

Christopher Isherwood: Modernism and War's Impact

Christopher Isherwood's work demonstrates a strong modernist influence, particularly in The Memorial: Portrait of a Family. This novel showcases a better integration of modernist techniques, exploring the profound effect of war on his generation.

  • New Generation: Characterized by brittle gaiety and disillusionment.
  • Older Generation: Grappling with a changed world, tormented by memories of the Edwardian era.

The novel's chronologically disorderly narrative reflects the pervasive sense of loss and collapse. Isherwood's "Berlin fiction" or "new realism" marked a significant shift in his style.

Factors for Isherwood's Stylistic Change

  • Brief employment as a film writer, which fostered a fascination for

Dear Natalia,

I'm Patricia Pérez, your friend from Miranda de Arga from primary school.

Do you remember me? We met when we were 12 years old in school and we were best friends. A friend of yours that I met at a camp gave me your address, and I am writing to learn more about you and how you're doing.

I am studying teaching, which has always been my passion, and I'm still swimming at the Tafalla Swimming Club. What are you up to?

I still enjoy judo, but I had to give it up because I didn't have time for everything. Paula, Noelia, Pablo, and Cristina asked me to send you their regards.

We hope you can come back soon to pay us a visit. When you read this letter, I hope you feel excited and that you'll respond to us soon.

Many kisses,

Patricia.

Desert Island Essentials

Music for Memories and Motivation

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would bring two of my favorite songs to keep my spirits high. The first would be "Me rehúso" by Danny Ocean, a Venezuelan artist. This song holds a special place in my heart as it tells the story of a long-distance relationship and the determination to keep love alive despite the challenges. The second song would be "DjaDja" by Aya Nakamura, a vibrant and energetic track that always makes me want to dance. These songs remind me of a memorable summer spent in Madrid with friends from Venezuela.

Books for Escape and Inspiration

To keep my mind engaged, I would bring two of my favorite books. The first would be "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green,... Continue reading "Desert Island Essentials: My Must-Haves for Survival and Entertainment" »
