My Sixth Form Experience at Viana High School

I started the sixth form at Viana High School about one month ago. Before beginning, I was feeling anxious because, although I had my friends, I knew new students were coming, and many people told me it was going to be difficult.

Adjusting to Academic Challenges

The first week, I was a little scared because many teachers warned us that this course is different from high school and more demanding. That is true; personally, I find new subjects like technical drawing and industrial technology challenging. However, sixth-form college is like everything else: if you organize yourself, you can achieve good marks and still have time for your hobbies.

Currently, I am learning to organize my schedule, although I still get overwhelmed when I have a lot to do.

Student Application Profile

I am an introvert when meeting new people, but with friends and family, I consider myself outgoing and self-confident. I very much enjoy explaining concepts to others, and my friends tell me that I am a good listener and polite.

• Free time: I like to hang out with friends and learn new things.
• Experience: I worked as a monitor at a summer house last summer, so I have experience looking after children.
• Strengths: I am good with numbers, so I especially enjoy math and physics.

I am interested in becoming a high school teacher, and this work would be an ideal way to gain experience. I have always been interested in finding new methods to make lessons more dynamic.

Film Review: Venom

Venom is a film based on the origin of the famous villain, released in 2018. It was directed by Ruben Fleischer, and the cast includes:

• Scott Haze as Carlton Drake

Plot Summary and Verdict

The story begins when journalist Eddie Brock starts to investigate The Life Foundation. After discovering that experiments are being conducted on humans and aliens, he does everything possible to expose the truth. During his investigation, an alien adopts his body as a host.

The plot is absolutely exciting, especially toward the end, and the special effects are impressive. The film was a box office success. I strongly recommend it, and once you finish it, you will want to see the sequel. Don’t miss it!
