The Polymerization Process

Monomers are typically derived from petroleum, coal, or natural gas. The polymerization reaction occurs in a reactor where monomers are combined with a solvent and a catalyst under controlled pressure and temperature. The resulting liquid polymer is dried, separated from the solvent, and crushed into a powder for industrial use.

Properties of Plastics

Plastics are known for being poor electrical and thermal conductors, extremely durable, and lightweight. They possess high plasticity and good combustibility.
