THE RESTORATION OF THE ANCIENT REGIME

It was a return to the political system of the ancient regime. 

CONGRESS :
Congress of vienna (1814-1815).

AGREEMENTS:
   × Absolute monarchies reinstated. Some had to accept constitutions, limiting  their power
   × Europe's borders were changed. 
   × Their European powers agree to support any monarch was threatened by revolutions. 

ALLIANCES:
 - THE HOLLY ALLIANCE:
   × Russia, Austria and Prussia the monarch of this countries promised to help each other. 
 - THE QUADRUPLE ALLIANCE:
   × Prussia, Russia, Austria and Great Britain wanted to hold regular meeting to resolve Europe's problems. 

LIBERALISM, NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY
The revolutions of the 19th century were inspired by liberalism, nationalism and democracy

LIBERALISM:
   × Bourgeoisie takes the control of the goverment and there's limited male suffrage. (just white man with a certain amount of money could vote).

NATIONALISM:
   × They advocated the rights of people who defined themselves as nations to establish a independent states, nation-state made up of people who had common history, language and culture. 

DEMOCRACY:
   × There's universal manhood suffrage ( everybody can vote)  and they preferred the Republic as the form of goverment.
