Narrative

Is the writer pays attention to what happens outside. Generally written in prose and is divided into several sub-genres: the short story, novel, or epic poems romance (cg and r in verse) are examples.

The C ount or is a short story, with few characters, a single plot and rather simple. Have traditionally been transmitted orally and had a moralistic or didactic purpose. Later, literary stories were developed, with artistic purpose and aimed at an adult audience (The Tales of Edgar Allan Poe)

The n Ovel to, characterized by freedom, contains from dramatic or theatrical dialogues until narrative or lyrical fragments. Its subgenres are numerous: action novels, knights, black, pink, love ... Only must be met which are in prose, containing characters on which says something.

It is characterized also by presenting different elements:

- Action: The story that unfolds in the play, which is happening both primary and secondary shares. Traditionally, the action is presented as an approach - node - outcome (ab ovo), although there are other ways:

· In medias res: the story is to start in the middle of the action, without a presentation of events or characters.

· In extreme res: Start at the end of the facts, presenting the outcome

· Final open: the story are not resolved, giving the impression that this is beyond the work.






- Weather: It can occur in a linear fashion, but may also have abnormalities such as:

· Analepsis: jumps into the past history

· Prolepsis: Jumping forward in history, ahead of facts.

-Space: physical situation where the characters. Description is often used for presentation. At present, it is often presented from the viewpoint of the protagonist or narrator.

- Characters: people (real or fictional) of the work. The author must be present to give any description of them: prosopography (physics), etopeya (psychological) or mixed.

The characters can be:

· Starring or supporting

· Dynamics or static

Individual number or group

Static or dynamic ·

· Speaker of the author's ideology .... ..... Etc

- Narrator: The voice that tells the novel. You can be the author or a character, plus there are different types of narrators:

· Omniscient: This is usually the author describes everything about the characters (what they do, say or think), because he knows everything.

· Character: The narrator is a character in the play, which in turn can be a protagonist (an autobiographical account) or secondary (approach). They are often not omniscient.

· Collective: The facts are narrated from different points of view

Sometimes the narrative is addressed to a character called narratee.
