POLITICAL IDEOLOGIES

  1. CAPITALISM/LIBERALISM: Created during the industrial revolution. It was the development of a liberal political belief; it is an economic system where the government plays a secondary role.

Free trade and market economy → prices up and down according to the demand of products.

  1. COMMUNISM: 

  • The means of production are commonly owned in classless society.

  • Decisions should be made to benefit the collective rather than one or several individuals.

  •  Create classless society by eliminating the power of bourgeoisie, and creating a dictatorship of the proletariat.

  1. SOCIALISM: 

  • The means of production are owned by society as a whole.

  • Profits produced by the proletariat belong to everyone, instead of a small class of private owners.

  • Believes in the parliamentary system and management of the market economy.

  1. ANARCHISM

  • Individual freedom

  • Voluntary association

  • Opposition to state

  • Government → unnecessary


FEMINISM

Share a common goal: to define, establish and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal and social rights for women.

Women were usually economically and socially dependent on a man, and lacus suffrage, the right to vote.

A militant political movement eventually appeared demanding universal suffrage, equal political and voting rights for both sexes. That, made it possible for women to obtain suffrage

1914: THE START OF WW1

  • 28TH of June 1914 → Archiduque Franc Ferdinand and his wife got killed by a serb student.

  • 23TH of July 1914 → Austria-Hungary wanted war against Serbia

  • 28TH of July → Austria-Hungary declares war to Serbia

  • 29THof July→Russia moviles her troops in favour of Serbia.

  • 2ND of August →France declares war on Germany

  • 3RD of August → Germany declares war to France

  • 4TH of August →Great Britain declares war on Germany →German troops invade Belgium

  • 6THof August →Austria-Hungary declares war on Russia

  • 7TH  of August → Lord Kitchener calls 100.000 men to join the British army to defend Belgium

  • 13TH  of August →France and Britain declares war on Austro-Hungary

BATTLES:

1917:

  • Horrible living conditions(death, misery, hunger…)

  • Russia revelled →Russian Revolution →New government →civil war →Russia left the ww1

  • Germany's defense was getting worse, and the Allies defense better. November 19TH Germany gave up.

  • The allied powers met in Versailles, to decide who caused the war, who had to pay reparations

  • USA, Britain, and France won the war and Germany lost.
