A Frightening Discovery at Home

This happened to me last winter. I had spent almost the whole afternoon at university, and my parents were still at work. When I arrived home, they weren’t there yet. As soon as I went inside, I noticed that one of the windows was broken. I got really scared because I immediately thought the worst, like someone had broken in.

So, I waited for my parents to arrive, and when they did, I explained everything to them. They told me that they had left the windows open, and because it was very windy, the wind had slammed the door really hard. The pressure caused the windows to break. Then, I realized it actually made sense, because it would be strange for someone to break the windows when it's not even easy to reach from outside. In the end, I felt much calmer, but at the moment I was really frightened.

The Stress of Almost Missing a Flight

One of the most stressful experiences I have ever had was almost missing a flight. It happened last summer when I was traveling to visit my family. Everything seemed fine at first, but I got stuck in heavy traffic on the way to the airport. By the time I arrived, I realized I had very little time before boarding.

The Rush to the Gate

  • I rushed through the airport as fast as I could.
  • The security line was longer than expected, and I became more nervous every minute.
  • After finally passing security, I looked at the departure screen and saw that my flight was already boarding.
  • I started running through the terminal, carrying my backpack and trying not to lose sight of the gate number.

When I finally reached the gate, I was out of breath, but I made it just in time. It was only after I sat down on the plane that I noticed something was missing. One of my earrings had fallen off while I was running. They were not expensive, but they had great personal value because they were a gift from my grandmother. Although I was relieved that I had not missed my flight, I felt sad about losing the earrings. This experience taught me the importance of arriving at the airport early and being more careful with valuable belongings.
