Boda en una Isla
Last year, Carla, my best friend, got married on a desert island. It was very important for me because I had organized the wedding. Fortunately, everything was wonderful and we had a really fun day.
The sun was shining brightly and there were all kinds of flowers everywhere. The mixture of the sound of the waves and a sweet violin transmitted so much peace. All the food was delicious, but the star dish was stuffed hake. The atmosphere was very cheerful and fun.
The ceremony was very emotional. When it had finished, all the guests danced a funny dance for the couple with their favourite song. After lunch, the guests handed them the presents. The gift they liked most was a video of their childhood that had been made by their friends. Then, we boarded a ship and were partying all night.
All in all, the wedding was a special and unforgettable day. Everyone was excited, had fun, and danced. I really want to go to a wedding soon!
Family Matters: Inheriting Clothes
Alba, my older sister, was always lucky getting new clothes. On the other hand, I always had to inherit her old ones. It annoyed me a lot and caused some trouble at home.
Of course, every time that we went shopping, we argued. She was the one who got new clothes while I only stared at her. In addition, most of my clothes had patches to cover holes and were a little worn out. I think throughout my childhood, I cried and screamed at my mother and sister because I wanted to get something that nobody had ever used. “If you don’t get along, you will regret it one day”, my father would say. Nobody and nothing could change this situation for many years.
Fortunately, everything changed two years ago because I became as tall as Alba. In a very short time, my body changed so I couldn’t use her old clothes any more. When it seemed that the problem had been solved, we started to brawl because we always wanted to wear the same clothes on the same day. It was then when my parents understood that this problem didn’t have any solution and they gave up hope.
Jazz Concert Experience
Last night, I went to a jazz concert at Mike’s Club. I’m not a huge jazz fan, so I was not expecting much, but it turned out to be a fantastic evening.
The club was dark, quite tiny, and extremely crowded. A strong smell of cigarette smoke hung in the air. More and more people came in, talking excitedly and laughing. My friends and I ordered Mike’s famous snacks:
- Salty chips
- Sour pickles
On stage, the shiny gold trumpets and saxophone made an impressive sight, and when the musicians began to play, I was immediately captivated by the powerful sound. The music had a lively rhythm, and soon the walls were shaking from both the music and the audience’s enthusiastic applause.
All in all, the concert was a great experience. From now on, if there is a jazz band in town, I will be the first to buy tickets!
