1. The Culture of Being Late
Introduction
In many cultures, punctuality is very important, while in others, being a little late is normal. In Spain, for example, arriving ten or fifteen minutes late to a social event is usually accepted. This raises the question of whether a relaxed attitude towards time is positive or disrespectful.
Body
On the one hand, a flexible attitude towards time can reduce stress. If people did not worry so much about arriving exactly on time, they would probably feel more relaxed in social situations. For instance, when I meet my friends, some of them arrive a bit late, but nobody gets angry because we understand that it is part of our culture.
On the other hand, if someone arrived very late without a good reason, it could be considered disrespectful. If I had to wait for a long time, I would feel that my time was not valued.
Conclusion
In conclusion, being a little late can be acceptable in some cultures, but people should still respect others’ time. If everyone were considerate, this relaxed attitude would work well.
2. The Pressure of “The Best Years of Your Life”
Introduction
Many people say that teenage years are “the best years of your life.” However, teenagers are also told that they must study hard and prepare for their future. This situation can create a lot of pressure.
Body
To balance living in the present and preparing for the future, it is important to manage time well. If students organized their schedules, they would have time both to study and to relax. For example, I try to finish my homework first, and then I spend time with my friends or doing activities I enjoy.
In addition, teenagers should remember that nobody is perfect. If someone only focused on success and achievements, they might forget to enjoy their life. If I felt too much pressure, I would try to talk to my friends or family.
Conclusion
In conclusion, teenagers should try to enjoy the present while also thinking about their future. If they kept a balance between responsibility and fun, these years would be less stressful and more meaningful.
