- 2. Enter the water.
- 3. Follow the bell main umbilical or main lift.
- 4. At the bell, switch to onboard air, flush the canopy, and deploy the manlift.
- 5. Travel through the bell and along the excursion umbilical until reaching the diver.
- 6. Check the diver for danger, ensure the bailout is closed, and open the freeflow.
- 7. Clip the diver onto a safety line or pull the diver back to the bell.
- 8. Secure the diver to the manlift inside the bell and stow any spare umbilical.
- 9. Monitor the diver during ascent to ensure they are breathing.
Diver Rescue by Bellman
: 1 - Open the onboard air. 2 - Make sure the canopy is fully blown out. Check all panel valves are in the correct position . 3-deploy the man lift.4 –get out of the bell and release enough umbilical to reach your diver , and take up the slack in the divers umbilical. 5 – Swim along the diver´s umbilical clearing it as necessary, but do not waste time if the diver is unconscious .6 –check the area for hazards.Report what you see and what you are doing . 7 - Check that the diver is breathing . In the case of an unconscious diver open , the diver free flow ( ensuring that the valve is closed rescue ) to clean the water divers mask and provide a supply of air . 8 - If the diver is out of air, you will have to open the bailout valve. 9-clip the diver onto the safety line or pull him back to the bell.10 - Once back at the bell pull or push your diver in the bell and set it ready for lifting.11 - There are two main problems during lifting. The escess umbilicals out of the bell and the risk of a pulmonary barotrauma.During lift the bellman should be monitored to ensure affected diver is breathing.Surface Stand-by Diver: In most situations there would be a stand-by diver dressed ready to enter the water. He should be fully dressed to the supervisors requeriments, which would normally be fully dressed, checks completed and air on. The band mask would already habe been fetted but removed to put back on. The role: assist the in-water stand-by/bellman in rescue procedures or to rescue these divers.
