The Taj Mahal: A Monument to Eternal Love

The Taj Mahal is a quite well-known mausoleum that is located in the city of Agra, a city of great importance located 176 km from New Delhi, the capital. It is located in the richest area of the city.

History and Construction of the Mausoleum

This place was built between 1631 and 1654 by Shah Jahan in honor of Empress Arjumand Banu Begum, better known as Mumtaz Mahal, who passed away while giving birth to her fourteenth child.

Architectural Features and Visitor Experience

It is a symmetrical building crowned by a dome and, after crossing the portico, the main gardens are located and aligned with the north-south axis. An elongated fountain extends, which visually culminates in the famous white mausoleum, whose profile is delineated perfectly against the blue sky, with no other element to disturb the clarity of its silhouette.

Tourists can enter the Taj Mahal, always barefoot so as not to damage the ground, and can see the entire interior of the mosque.

In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen; it is magnificent and I have no words to describe it. The only downside is that there were too many crowds. I hope to return soon.
