Fostering Student Engagement and Learning

The quote, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I will learn,” by Benjamin Franklin, is a statement I truly believe. Keeping students motivated to learn can be challenging, primarily because teachers face many different personalities and learning styles in the classroom. Even so, there are ways to motivate students and maintain a comfortable learning environment. This is the main reason I am applying to your university to study building classroom relationships.

Academic Background and Professional Goals

I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching at San Sebastian University, where I acquired the necessary tools to facilitate the learning process, enabling students to utilize critical thinking and cooperative learning. As an applicant to your university, I believe this program will provide me with new techniques and methodologies essential for my professional growth and development.

Language Proficiency and Cultural Exchange

Studying with native English teachers will help me practice and improve my proficiency in the language, allowing me to attain a higher level of expertise. Furthermore, interacting with native speakers provides the opportunity to understand different cultures, which will further enhance my language skills.

Navigating Diverse Educational Environments

Teaching a second language requires an awareness of cultural differences among students. I have gained experience teaching in diverse settings, including:

  • Elementary education
  • School-level instruction
  • Professional adult learning

Through these experiences, I have realized how challenging it is to build positive classroom dynamics within our modern world.

Commitment to Educational Excellence

For the aforementioned reasons, I believe this program is a great opportunity to acquire methodologies and strategies to apply in the classroom. I aim to integrate these into the current educational system to enhance students' abilities and capacities while fostering my own professional development.
