Kafkaesque Narrative Techniques

The heterodiegetic narrator is external to the work and does not participate in it. It is also written in the third person and is omniscient, knowing the outcome of the story before the characters themselves. Characteristics of Baroque Architecture

• In Baroque architecture, the concepts of volume and symmetry are replaced by dynamism and theatricality. The product of this new way of designing space is a building of gigantic proportions which, rather than the accuracy of geometry, prioritizes overlapping planes and volumes. This approach aims to achieve various optical effects and color contrasts, as well as dramatic lighting, both on the facades and in the interior design. Narrate events means to relate actions and characters across time and space. Its intention is to inform, explain, entertain, or tell a story. If the purpose goes beyond aesthetics, it is a literary narrative.

Figures and Their Meanings

• Zephyrus: The god of the west wind.
• Chloris: A nymph, and wife of Zephyrus. The Romans often referred to her as Flora. She has also been identified with Aura, the goddess of the breeze.
