Voice Imposture

Imposture: Any professional using this term must have their voice impostada, meaning "in place." The voice is set up in the vocal cords to deliver sound fully, without hesitation or tremor. Otherwise, effort and disturbances occur. Speaking with an impostada voice means speaking effortlessly and naturally, maximizing the physiological condition of the phonation apparatus.

Impost of the voice: The impost is supported by the base of the rib cage, allowing air to flow freely down the trachea and produce sounds at length and in their best quality. This requires special training, usually provided by speech therapists, singing teachers, or other specialists. This training enables the speaker to use their natural tone, speak for longer without fatigue, and project their voice optimally.

Imposture on Stage and in Song

Vocal imposture is used in both singing and theater. It allows the voice to deliver sound fully without hesitation or tremor. In theater, it helps project the voice throughout the room without shouting. Setting the voice with imposture adds a personal touch, meeting the auditorium's requirements. It allows for a natural tone of voice and sustained speaking without fatigue. Deep abdominal breathing and practicing the vowel "a" in various ways, without constricting the throat, are essential.

Tai Chi Placement

During Tai Chi exercises, the body should be relaxed. This means only the muscles necessary for a particular movement or posture are tense, while the rest remain relaxed. Breathing should be deep, relaxed, and natural, primarily abdominal, with a slower rate than chest breathing.

Knees should be aligned to distribute body weight to the outer edges of the feet. Misalignment compromises grounding and relaxation, straining the knee and ankle joints. Weight should be distributed across the sole, just behind the pads. This placement minimizes energy expenditure for maintaining posture, promotes relaxation, and allows for quick responses when interacting with a partner.

Tai Chi and Dance

Tai Chi involves basic exercises like individual movements, postures, breathing, and meditation. These loosen joints, relax the body, and promote slow positional changes to avoid joint strain.

Dance is the execution of body movements, mainly with arms and legs, synchronized with music. It expresses feelings and emotions through refined, harmonious, and coordinated gestures. Key elements include rhythm, body language, movement, and space.

Objectives of Yoga

Yoga develops the body, mind, and spirit, leading to a deeper understanding of human nature and harmonious living. The human mind, never satisfied, finds only temporary happiness in external objects. Yoga techniques help understand life's purpose and cultivate compassion and openness.

Understanding Yoga: At first glance, Yoga may seem like a series of unusual physical postures for maintaining a lean and flexible body. Consistent practice reveals a subtle shift in perspective. By relaxing the body and stilling the mind, one achieves inner peace, which is our true nature.
