The UK: Why Great Britain is such a multiracial and multicultural country dates far back to the time when countries like India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc. were part of the British Commonwealth. This gave the people of these countries the right to settle in Great Britain if they wanted. However, these British 'foreigners' were not looked upon as totally British with British rights. They were even limited in the beginning to their own sectors and were given the worst jobs while the best posts were kept for the British themselves.

Today, it is obvious that legitimate immigration is what has made Britain successful economically, and this has been solidified by the intermixture of races and intermarriage. That is why incomers are welcomed, mainly because this creates an open and inclusive society that contributes to the growth and prosperity of the country. Moreover, this also leads to the success of a modern developed country. However, immigration has to be controlled so that there is no place for illegal immigrants. The Queen, in one of her speeches, emphasizes how the changes brought about in the society of Britain are necessary and expects the British to adopt qualities and values like moderation, openness, tolerance, and service. So, there is a sense of oneness in the society of Britain, although there is an extensive multicultural and multi-faith society.

To sum up, it can be seen that intermarriage and the mixing of cultures, rites, etc. can lead to confusion, especially in the younger generation. However, this is very common everywhere today, and the economy of some countries depends on this. The fact that we are in contact with all kinds of people has made the acceptance of other races quite easy. After all, we youngsters are much more open-minded than people of past generations.

  • The British are a gathering of countless different races and communities, most of which do not belong to these islands.
  • Our lifestyles and cultural horizons have also been broadened in the process.
  • Identity, variety, diversity, pride (hooligans), a bundle of countries; some of them don't feel a sense of patriotic pride, while others are proud and more than content with the royal family.
