Hello! In this video, I'm going to talk about Twitter, perhaps my "main" social network.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a social network created on July 13, 2006. It was invented by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. Currently, it has 326 million users. This isn't anything compared to Facebook with 2.271 billion users or WhatsApp, which has 1.5 billion users nowadays.

What Can You Do on Twitter?

On Twitter, you can write short texts (with 240 characters or less) about anything you want, and then you can wait for your friends' answers. You can also use Twitter to read news, be aware of trending topics, or see memes when you are bored. Another functionality that Twitter has is that you can direct message your friends.

Why I Like Twitter

  1. It's Funny and Engaging: I really like Twitter because it is funny and addictive. I think it makes you creative because, if you want people to follow you, you have to be creative with your texts.
  2. Easy to Follow Your Interests: Another reason why I really like Twitter is that it is a really fast option to follow your interests.
  3. Connecting with Friends: Lastly, I can feel closer to my friends because, thanks to the tweets that my friends upload, I can speak with them about topics that maybe I didn't know they liked.

What I Don't Like About Twitter

  1. Gossiping and Oversharing: One thing that I don't like about Twitter is that it can be really gossipy, and you might not even notice that you are explaining your whole life to your followers.
  2. Misspellings: Another thing that I really hate about Twitter is the misspellings. There are so many that I think some people want to create a new dictionary.
  3. Fake News: Finally, fake news. Because Twitter is really fast, there is some fake news that people retweet, and it reaches trending topics while still being fake.

My Twitter Usage

I use Twitter sometimes to keep in touch with my friends and, above all, to laugh when I'm bored.

Could I Survive Without the Internet?

About the question of if I could survive one week without the internet, I would say yes, without any doubt. In fact, I've been more time than that without internet and I'm still alive.
