My Trip to Chicago

In October 2012, I went to Chicago, also known as the Windy City. It’s the biggest city that I have visited, where three million people live.

Chicago City Center Attractions

The center of Chicago offers a lot of amazing skyscrapers, including one that is very well known because it is the tallest building. In this part of Chicago, you can also see ancient museums, like the Museum of Contemporary Art or the Museum of History. A lot of parks are located here, where there is the fascinating monument because it looks like a big bean.

A popular tourist attraction is riding a boat on the Chicago River. It’s amazing because the views are beautiful and you can see the skyline. In Chicago, there are a lot of malls where you can go shopping or eat something.

Transportation and City Life

Chicago is a very clean city, with not too much pollution, because most people go to work by train, as it’s very cheap and fast. A lot of people choose the bicycle to move around because it doesn’t pollute and you can enjoy the views.

Finally, I like Chicago. I think it’s the best place in the United States to visit because there are a lot of trendy and amazing buildings. In addition, I like my town, but it isn’t the same. I hope to return soon!

Hi Marta,

How are you? I hope you are well. Thanks for your last email. This time I’m writing to tell you about my family.

My mother’s name is Ines and my father’s name is Pere. My mother is 50 years old and my father is 55. My mother is a secretary and my father is a farmer. I love them both very much.

I have an older brother and no sisters. His name is Pere. He works with my father. He is 22 years old. He loves playing football, video games, and annoying me.

I like playing basketball and going out with my friends. I don’t like school because I hate getting up early.

We have one dog called Perla. She is always happy and friendly.

My Cousin Ariadna

My cousin, Ariadna, is 20 years old. She is single. She has big brown eyes. She has long, curly, black hair. She is quite short and a little fat. She doesn’t like to wear any kind of lipstick. She likes to wear pants. She doesn’t like to wear dresses. Her favorite color is black.

She works in a coffee bar. She loves her job very much. She thinks her job is good. She likes to go to parties. She always goes to parties with her best friend. She also likes to read novels and listen to music.

Ariadna graduated from college two years ago. She studied administration but finally preferred working as a waitress. Ariadna and I traveled to Sitges last summer. We enjoyed it so much, especially the beaches and the people.

Ariadna plans to get married someday. She hopes to have just two children. She also wants to travel to many other places in the world.
