Tranquil Living in El Puertito de Güímar: A Coastal Paradise

If I could choose a place to live, it would be in El Puertito de Güímar. It is not a big town, with few inhabitants, although in recent years the population has increased. I love watching the dawn as the sun reflects in the water of the beach. I enjoy strolling along the avenue with my bike and breathing the fresh air with the smell of the sea.
I can go to the beach or the pool to bathe without the worry of searching for parking. Once you park your car, you forget everything because you can move from one side to another of the town by walking, biking, or skating. You can buy groceries in supermarkets or small shops. There is also a pharmacy, a bookstore, a bakery, and several restaurants.
But what I like most is when night comes. I like to sit on the deck and watch the full moon when the clouds allow it. I listen to the palm trees of the avenue move and the waves break on the sandy beach or on the rocks of the breakwater. This quiet, this silence... is something that those who live in the city do not enjoy.
A Memorable Sports Day at IES Padre Anchieta
At the institute where I studied, the IES Padre Anchieta, the last week before the end of the course, we had a sports day with students from other schools. It lasted twelve hours and included all kinds of sports: football, basketball, ping-pong, and more.
At noon, it was the end of the football match, and two very rival schools disputed it. When there was half an hour left until the end of the game, one of the players from my school, David, kicked the ball towards the goal with all his strength and scored. That changed the outcome of the match in our favor. Out of emotion and to celebrate, he crashed into the goal, and it fell. Luckily, it all stayed in a scare, but the young man could not finish the match.
