My Summer Holidays

My last holidays were my longest holidays, and I think I learned how to spend my time wisely. I had a lot of fun with my friends and family, and I met new people too. I visited different places throughout the summer and made an effort to connect with others wherever I went.

San Sebastian

My first stop was San Sebastian, a beautiful town in the Basque Country. A friend who owns a house there invited me to stay for a few days. I went with some friends, and even though we only spent five days there, it was enough to make us want to return next summer! We spent hours on the beach in the mornings, simply lying down, soaking up the sun, and gathering enough energy for the rest of the day and night! We went out every night until the wee hours of the morning, dancing, meeting new people, and strolling along the beach while quietly admiring the moon.

Disneyland Paris

Next, I went to Disneyland Paris with my partner and sister. To be honest, it wasn't really Paris I visited; it was all about Disneyland! We spent four unforgettable days there. As soon as I saw the park, my eyes widened in amazement, and they didn't close until I was back in our hotel room that night. I felt like a little kid again.

Relaxation in Salou

Finally, I went to Salou with my partner. We were looking for a truly relaxing getaway, so we spent our days lounging on the beach. We didn't do any sightseeing; our only goal was to rest and recharge. After a few days, we returned to Barcelona and, unfortunately, had to resume our daily routines.

The Last Book I Read

Last summer, I read a captivating and thought-provoking book titled "The Flanders Table" by Arturo Perez-Reverte. I found it incredibly engaging, and the best part is that it grabs your attention from the very first page.

This mystery novel revolves around a painting recently discovered by a young art restorer. The painting, which dates back to the Middle Ages, depicts three individuals, two of whom are engaged in a game of chess.

The story becomes even more intriguing when the young woman uncovers a secret message hidden within the artwork, as well as different chess moves concealed beneath the layers of paint.

As these discoveries unfold, a series of events sheds light on a mystery that transpired centuries ago.

In conclusion, I believe Arturo Perez-Reverte is one of the most talented Spanish authors writing today, thanks to his captivating writing style.

About Myself

My name is Fran, and I'm originally from Zaragoza, but I've been living in Barcelona since 2005. I'm 34 years old and work as a nurse in a hospital.

I'm a very friendly person with two brothers and one sister. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and going to the cinema with friends. I play tennis twice a week and usually have a match on Sundays. In the future, I'd like to pursue further education to prepare for a competitive exam.

I decided to enroll in the EOI (Official School of Languages) because I need to improve my English skills, and I believe attending classes is the most effective way to learn. I studied Nursing at a local university. I'm passionate about my job, which is why I need to learn English. On many occasions, we have patients who only speak English. Therefore, I would be grateful for the opportunity to study at the EOI, as everything I learn will be valuable for my future career.
