Summer Adventures: Catalonia, Disneyland, and Exchange Plans

My Summer Vacation Memories

My last vacation was longer, and I think I've learned to pass the time well. I enjoyed friends and family, and I met new people too, because I was in different places during the summer, and I wanted to meet people everywhere.

Adventures in Roses, Catalonia

The first place I visited was Roses, a town in Catalonia, because I was invited for a few days by a family member who has a house there. I went with my family, and we were there only five days, but it was long enough to want to return next summer.

We stayed on the beach for hours. In the morning, we just slept and slept so as to have energy for the rest of the days and nights. We danced, met people, and enjoyed walking near the beach while watching the moon in silence.

Unforgettable Days at Disneyland Paris

Then I went to Paris with my parents and my sister. Actually, I did not go to Paris; I went to Disneyland. We stayed there for four days, and it was truly unforgettable. When I saw the park, I opened my eyes, and I could not shut them at night at the hotel. I felt like a kid again.

Relaxation and Rest in Salou

Finally, I was in Salou. My parents were looking for a very relaxing time, and we were just there to rest. After those days, we returned to Barcelona, and unfortunately, we had to start our routine again.

Planning the Exchange Trip: An Email to Julio

Hi Julio,

How are you? Did you enjoy the Coldplay concert?

I'm sorry I haven't written sooner, but I've had exams all week, and they haven't finished yet. However, I thought I'd better write and tell you the plans for the exchange.

This time next week, you'll be travelling to Wales.

Arrival and Initial Plans

When you arrive, I'll meet you with my parents at Barcelona Airport. They speak English with a Welsh accent, but don't worry, I've told them to speak slowly so as not to make it difficult for you.

You'll be staying in my brother's room. He's going to sleep at his friend's house so that you can use his room.

The next day, we'll go into Barcelona to visit the castle. I'll show you around the city, and we'll probably meet my friends in the evening.

Activities Later in the Week

Later in the week, we'll go to a rugby match if you want to.

I've got to do a bit more revision now, so I'll have to go.

Write soon and tell me how your exams are going. Do you have to pass them all in order to study law?
