New Features

SpeedBoost

SpeedBoost has been added to each persona, allowing you to purchase power-ups and rental cars.

New SpeedBoost screens have been added. Click on the SpeedBoost symbol anywhere in the game to access them.

Driver Skills

15 new Driver Skills have been added across Race, Pursuits, and Exploration categories, each with multiple ranks spread over the new levels.

Progression Amplifiers

Progression Amplifiers provide an increase to Rep or in-game Tokens.

• Nissan 240SX (Tier 1)
• Nissan Silvia (S15) (Tier 1)
• Toyota Corolla GTS (AE86) (Tier 1)
• Volkswagen Scirocco (Tier 1)

Social Features

• Two-Way Friend Request System: Accept or decline friend requests (currently limited to 3 friends).
• Facebook Connect: Link your EA account to your Facebook account for website login.
• Import Friends from Facebook: Import Facebook friends into your in-game friends list (only friends who have also connected to Facebook are selectable). This option is available each time you log in to the website.
• Friends Rankings: Compare yourself to your friends in the News gadget.
• My Motto: Add a personal quote under your persona name in the profile gadget.

Gameplay

• Improved Disconnection Error Messages: Disconnection information is now displayed in the chat window.
• Improved Race & Traffic AI: Traffic behavior and Race AI have been significantly improved.
• Improved Sense of Speed: Enhanced FPS, speed lines, and motion blur create a greater sense of speed.

Interface

• News Gadget: Displays updates on friends, recent accomplishments, and system updates.
• More Vinyls: Additional vinyl layers provide more car customization options.
