1. Social media emphasizes the 'me' by saying that it is the most socialized aspect of the person. This is gained through repeated interaction with people. With social media, where the interaction rate should be high, chances are people would know the 'me' of the person rather than the 'I'.

2. The second sex is defined as the duality of sexes in which women are always second to men. Men are expected to go to war and be the breadwinner of the family. Females, on the other hand, are defined by the deviation of men. They are the stay-at-home women who would take care of their kids.

3. Double consciousness describes the internal conflict experienced by the subordinated groups in an oppressive society. One would struggle being part of a racist and patriarchal society. Du Bois would say that double consciousness is looking at one’s self through the eyes of a racist society. A sense of always looking at one’s self through the eyes of another.

4. Du Bois' color line is the scale that defines the people. As a result, prejudice and stereotypes can occur, preserving cultural structure. He saw this occur in the United States. He saw that the color line can be used for or against you, depending on your skin color.

5. Fanon talks about dual consciousness. That means you are occupying two consciousness. This is different from Du Bois, where he would look at it where no one conforms. One would think. Fanon thinks you must conform to the oppressor's thinking.

7. Front stage is where one presents themselves to friends and family. It is the one that people see every day. Repeated interactions will help strengthen the front stage appearance. The backstage appearance is where one would either separate from their front stage self or have another identity. Or use the backstage appearance to work on your front stage self.

8. Reality TV and social media reproduce social inequality because those inequalities are built into their culture. Take any TV show where the man would be the breadwinner and the wife is a stay-at-home mom. It is built into society and used as a comparison to see which lives are better.
