There are few operating examples of smart cities across the world.

There is a need to combine integrated 'layers of smartness' that embrace not just resource efficiency but the promotion of good health, economic stability, a sense of shared community, and an ability to adapt to future challenges.

5G technology means evolving the concept of wireless connectivity to enable new ways of defining performance monitoring and assurance, as well as the quality of service. It is believed that 5G tech will be present in different sectors of daily human life such as finance, agriculture, media, retail, transport, construction, and automotive, just to name a few.

The delivery of smart cities is complex and not limited solely to technology. It should include integrated urban design principles that respond to the local context.

Telecommunication Engineers and the Impact of 5G Technology

Telecommunication engineers use their knowledge of electrical systems to create, supervise, and maintain the electronic equipment used in the telecommunications industry. That is one of the main reasons why I chose this degree.

I consider myself passionate about technology, communications, and very enthusiastic about the future. Therefore, I have chosen to write this essay on 5G Technology and the impact it will have in the years to come.

One of the main things that this field does is enabling the transformation of industries and society in terms of digital transformation, which aims to expand the broadband capabilities of mobile networking and unleash the true potential of the Internet of Things. The reason being, we like to be connected to the Internet, we enjoy downloading and uploading files to stream data such as movies or music. However, the devices we currently use cannot sustain the amount of data. As a consequence, the digital transformation enabled by mobility, cloud, and broadband is taking place in almost every industry. I also believe it is quite hard to imagine these days without the use of the Internet, as most devices and most of the daily tasks are run with an internet connection.

As for my future career, I am aiming to be an installation inspector. Consequently, I would love to work in a telecommunications lab developing and improving new technologies that will help and make worldwide communication even easier and quicker than it is today.
