Many satellite and cable TV companies offer their viewers a shopping channel. These channels have become popular, but not everyone thinks that this is a good idea.

Benefits of Shopping Channels

On the one hand, shopping channels have made shopping easier for some people. It is true that they are helpful for people who are old or ill and can't leave their homes easily. Customers phone and place their orders, which are delivered to their homes. In addition, these channels are informative – they often demonstrate what a product does. This makes it easier for people to make shopping decisions.

Drawbacks of Shopping Channels

On the other hand, shopping channels can be problematic. They convince people to buy things they don't really need, and some people even become addicted to them. Moreover, customers are often disappointed because the products aren't always as good as they look on TV.

It's a fact that shopping channels can make life easier for some people. However, I am not in favour of them. For me, there's nothing like visiting my favourite shop.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Tourism

Nowadays, a lot of people only see positive aspects regarding tourism. However, we have to consider negative aspects too.

Positive Aspects of Tourism

On the one hand, tourism creates employment and improves the economy of the country. In addition, tourism is related to the increase of facilities, hotels, and improvements in cities. This is very valuable for a country.

Negative Aspects of Tourism

On the other hand, tourism is also joined to environmental problems. Cities and villages are sometimes spoilt due to massive construction of hotels, apartments, or buildings above all in coastal areas. What’s more, tourists create rubbish, riots, or noise. This can be a problem.

All in all, despite the negative effects of tourism, I personally think that tourism is essential for a country as ours with so many unemployment problems.
