Scene: A Restaurant
David: Sorry, ladies. Your entrees are here; the main course will be served later so it doesn't cool down.
Claudia: Thank you, very kind.
David: A pleasure.
Miriam: How good is the food! The truth is that it's worth spending a bit more money and eating well.
Claudia: The truth is that, at the moment, I love everything.
David: Ladies, may I clear the entrees and serve the main course?
Miriam: Of course.
Claudia: Here you are.
David: Here are your hamburgers. Could you please cut into the meat to see if it is cooked to your liking?
Claudia: It's perfect.
Miriam: Perfect, thank you very much.
Claudia: My goodness! I'm full. I don't know if I'll be able to manage dessert.
Miriam: I am the same; this eating well is not my thing.
Ordering Dessert
David: Now, what would you like for dessert? I have New York cheesecake, lemon pie, apple pie, and brownie. Also, liquor and coffee.
Miriam: What would you recommend?
David: The house specialty is the brownie.
Claudia: Great, I love brownies. I'll have one, but with vanilla ice cream.
David: Excellent choice, and you, miss?
Miriam: I'd like to have a brownie with cream.
David: Okay, any drinks to go with that? Coffee, liquor, tea?
Claudia: Chamomile, if possible.
Miriam: (She doesn't want anything) Nothing, thanks.
David: We'll get it right away.
_________
David: Here you are.
Miriam: Thank you, that looks good.
Claudia: It has to taste great!
Miriam: All exquisite.
Paying the Bill
Claudia: Hey... Shall we ask for the bill already? That way, we can go early to take a walk on Gran Via.
Miriam: Okay. Could you come, please? (She raises her hand and calls the waiter).
David: Yes.
Claudia: Could you bring us the bill? I would like to pay by card, if possible.
David: Of course, I'll bring you your ticket right now.
Miriam: We should leave a tip; the service has been excellent.
Claudia: Okay, I have three euros loose.
Miriam: Perfect (she digs in her purse), your three euros, and I'll add another three euros.
David: It would be twenty-eight euros.
Claudia: (She pays by card) I do not need the copy. Thank you very much for everything. (They collect their belongings and prepare to leave).
David & Miriam: Thanks, until next time.
