Fairness in Hiring: Beyond Handwriting Analysis
It isn't fair to decide whether a person should get a job based on their handwriting, because, in my opinion, these studies are rarely accurate. I believe a person cannot be judged by their handwriting. For instance, someone with large handwriting might still be a shy person.
Archaeological Sites: Rules and Consequences
I think it's acceptable that the Greek authorities take measures when someone picks up an artifact at an ancient site. However, it must also be recognized that the tour guides did not warn Madeline about this. Therefore, arresting her and putting her in jail seems like a harsh measure, especially since she was unaware of the rules. Ultimately, I neither agree with her actions nor fully support the severity of her punishment.
Considering Parkour: The Thrill and the Risk
I am interested in trying a sport like parkour, but I'm not sure about doing it. It's a very exciting sport because it involves high velocity and all types of jumps. However, it's also a very dangerous sport because I could injure my body, and I don't yet know how to fall safely.
Life on a Freedom Ship: Dream vs. Reality
I would love to live on a freedom ship because it offers everything you need, and it's incredibly cool to live on a vessel that cruises all the oceans. However, you would probably miss your loved ones and your parents if they don't live on that ship. Therefore, living on a freedom ship for a definite period seems like the best approach.
Preserving Standard English: A Cultural Imperative
In my opinion, people shouldn't stop learning standard English. Doing so would lead to a significant loss of culture within the population. Speaking "English lite" reduces vocabulary, which is detrimental to English culture.
The Etiquette of Punctuality
Punctuality is a key aspect of social and professional conduct. Here are some thoughts on the matter:
- It's acceptable to be late when something unexpected happens, but I also believe that constant unpunctuality is a sign of bad manners.
- I think you should wait for friends when they are late, especially if they often wait for you.
- I don't think people should be late for work because they are paid to be punctual, so they should arrive on time.
My Annual Birthday Celebration Traditions
Every year on August 26th, I celebrate my birthday at my house with my family and friends. That day, early in the morning, my father makes breakfast for me and brings it to my bedroom. Later, he gives me many presents. At two o'clock, I meet my family for lunch. In the afternoon, at seven o'clock, I invite many friends over. We sing, dance, drink, and eat chocolate cake. Afterward, we go to a disco and have a party to end the night.
The Impact of Computers on Modern Lifestyles
I spend most of my free time using the computer. I believe computers have significantly changed our lifestyles. The vast majority of teenagers have developed the habit of using computers daily and spending a lot of time on them. This is a trend that has profoundly conditioned present society.
