The Russian Hero
It was a winter day. A young man named Ralph Muller, 15 years old, who lived in Russia, had been enlisted to join the army, but he did not pass the tests and could not enlist.
From that day, Ralph did not stop training. He spent three years preparing and returned to try to enlist. This time he got in. Ralph was the best and began to fight in minor wars until they sent him to fight against Hitler's Germany.
Ralph and a gigantic army of Russians went to Germany. It was night, and the next day they planned to attack the German troops. When day arrived, the Russians woke up. They knew where the German ranks were and they wanted to surround them. To do that, they had to go through the mountains until one of the Russian military officers ordered them to stop.
They were close to their goal when they were suddenly surrounded, and the Russian army began firing lines while the Nazis responded with shots. Nazis were in the trenches, but nobody was going to stop the Russian army. Suddenly, they found a suspected bunker where the German leader could be hiding. An explosion left all the Russians on the ground.
Ralph woke up wounded. There was no bunker. He raised his head and saw how the Nazis approached him. He could not do anything and fell prisoner in the hands of the Germans.
After a few years, the Russian special forces prepared his liberation. One day, Ralph was in his cell when he began to hear shooting at the door. He got up to see what was happening and saw a Russian special forces group taking him out of there. Then they fled and returned to Russia.
Ralph's Homecoming and Recognition
Upon arrival in Russia, Ralph was decorated in honor of his country because, although he did not know it, Hitler was in that bunker and died from the explosion that Ralph caused to avoid being captured. A month after his liberation, Ralph continued with his life and decided to tell all the facts to a Russian newspaper.
