Summer Holidays in Olivella: An Invitation

In summer, the weather in Olivella, my village, is wonderful! We can go to the pool or the beach. There are some nice places to visit around my house, including the beautiful Natural Garraf Park and the Buddhist Monastery. At night, we can go partying in Sitges. You'll love it!

Airline Travel Nightmare to Seville

My travel nightmare began with an airline when I was traveling to a wedding in Seville, having already printed my boarding pass online. On the departure day, when I arrived at El Prat Airport, the flight was canceled. The option I was given was to catch another flight to Madrid, and from there, another to Seville.

When we arrived in Madrid, it took a long time to land because the runway was not free. Consequently, by the time I was off the plane, my flight to Seville had already taken off. I ended up taking a train. I would not travel with that airline again.

Meet Mamen: Life in a Spanish Mountain Village

My name is Mamen. I was born in Barcelona thirty-five years ago, but now I live in a small mountain village called Olivella. I live with my husband and daughter. I work in a factory, but now I'm getting ready to go back to school.

I am a small and slender girl; my hair is short and brown, and my eyes are small and brown. My face is elongated and small, and my mouth and nose are quite small.

I'm a simple person, quite nervous, friendly, outgoing, with a strong character and a great heart. I like nature and animals, going for walks with my dogs in the mountains. I also enjoy drawing, reading, and watching horror and mystery movies.
