Evaluation Method
Knowledge Assessment
According to the "General Principles on Evaluation of Knowledge," the rules for the assessment of knowledge in the discipline of Oral and Written Communication are:
Continuous Assessment
This evaluation process is based on the work developed by students throughout the semester. Therefore, it requires presence (it is obligatory to attend at least 75% of classes planned for the semester) and participation in classes, in addition to performing the assigned work and exercises.
Consideration of the following forms of assessment in this model (exam waiver):
- Presence and participation in class (includes the carrying out of work and exercises) (30%)
- Presentation of a public work (40%)
- Written proof (30%)
Work and/or exercises will be conducted throughout the school term, aiming to develop the ability to display oral communication and organizational skills for writing themes and ideas. This work will focus on various issues related to current events and the business world.
In addition to the exercises done in class, students are expected to make a public presentation and develop individual work. The report and the exercises will be conducted in accordance with the directions of their teachers.
The written test will cover all the matters presented in class and on the basic texts related to this matter. In this task, the student must demonstrate knowledge of the subject as a whole and the ability to relate different topics and problems presented in the test. In accordance with this objective, the test may include different types of questions (synthetic response questions, comparative analysis of issues, development issues). No external resources are permitted during the test.
Only students completing the work and discussion, who have a minimum grade of 8 in the written exam, will be excused from the final exam.
Evaluation by Final Examination
This form of evaluation will consist of a written test, and no external resources are permitted.
