NUAA is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of 10 dynasties with a 2,500-year history. The university operates across three campuses in two cities, covering a total area of 500 acres.

1. Minggugong Campus

  • Historical Context: Located on the site of the Ming Dynasty Forbidden City (Gu gong).

2. Jiangjunlu Campus

  • Layout: Divided into West and East sections by a highway, connected by a government-built bridge.
  • Expansion: The West campus was the original site; the East campus was acquired to accommodate growth.

3. Tianmuhu Campus

  • Details: Larger than the Jiangjunlu campus, funded by the Changzhou government, and situated near Tianmu Lake (TianMuHu).

Welcome to the College of International Education

  • 1952–1956: Nanjing College of Aeronautical Industries.
  • Oct 20, 1952: Founding of NUAA (Minggugong Campus).
  • 1956–1993: Nanjing Aeronautical Institute.
