Musicians

They have a maximum play time & minimum fees for different types & length of performance.

Set times

When you plan an event/entertainment you must know that the standard play time is 40 mins before taking a break. Breaks should last no longer than 15-20mins. It also depends on the vibrancy of the preceding performance.

Cover bands

What is a dance band? Dance bands are otherwise known as variety bands/cover bands. They perform top dance hits that your wedding party guests/corporate event audience will enjoy.

Musicians & vocalists

Versatile & play everything from jazz, soul, motown, disco, R&B, blues, pop, contemporary, swing, to current dance music hits. A dance band will typically include male and female vocalists, a saxophone, keyboards, bass, guitar, drums and percussion, and even a brass section.

Actors, comedians, speakers

Acting is assuming a character & 'becoming' a person. They need to reflect on the personality they're taking on and need quiet space to rehearse their lines. 'Becoming' a character is one of the demands.

Dancers

Must have their minds and bodies in perfect physical form to perform. A 'Green Room' is a must for performers. Here is where they prepare themselves for their act. They dress and make-up.

Other athletic & variety entertainment

We refer here to a variety-type entertainment. Some of the more common ones used in special events are jugglers, magicians, hypnotists, stilt walkers, acrobatic acts, table acts, fire performers, cultural performances and animal acts.

Variety entertainment:

• Stilt Walkers (20-30mins): They need assistance using the doorways and stairs.
• Table Acts (5-15mins): They need an area with good lighting.
• Animal Shows (5-15mins): Funniest and the scariest.
• Acrobatic Acts/Fire Performers (5-6mins).
• Jugglers (15-30mins).
• Magicians (30-45mins).
• Large cultural performances (60-90mins).
