The Internet: Advantages and Disadvantages
We cannot deny that the internet has profoundly changed our lives. It is a tool that significantly simplifies our daily routines. We can buy what we need, communicate with friends, book hotel rooms, holiday flats, travel tickets, and concert passes. All this can be done while sitting comfortably at home, without needing to leave our houses. The internet also allows us to watch films, listen to music, play games, and read newspapers or books. We can spend our leisure time without spending money. I love the internet. In my opinion, it has only one significant disadvantage: the potential for isolation.
Before the internet, we more often went out and spent time with friends, as staying at home was often more boring. When shopping, you would talk to the shop assistant, ask questions about things you didn't understand, or seek advice. If you buy online, you don't need to talk to anyone.
Ideal Vacations and English Language Immersion
My ideal holidays are spent with my family and friends, perhaps in London. Stepping out of your usual environment for a while is an excellent way to see the world and discover new things about yourself. If you are learning English, you can take advantage of the opportunity to visit new places and practice conversing with locals. We have selected for you the top 5 places to spend your holidays and practice your English. Whether you're tanning on the beach or strolling through city streets, you'll have ample opportunity to improve your English. You'll learn trendy "slang" expressions and become accustomed to different accents while chatting with locals. To avoid any "remorse," consider the costs of airfare and hotel as an investment in an English language course abroad.
My Best Friend: A Personal Portrait
She's 31 years old and hails from Robledillo de la Vera, a small, beautiful town in North Cáceres. However, she currently lives in Don Benito, where she works in a fruit factory. Alicia is quite tall and thin, with long dark hair, black eyes, and a big nose. She usually wears jeans and boots, and she hardly ever wears a skirt or a dress. She is quite pretty, but she hasn't found a boyfriend yet.
She loves going out with her friends and talking to everyone. She enjoys going shopping and trying on clothes, but she can never find things she likes. I always argue with her because she spends a lot of time doing it, and I find it frustrating! Alicia hates watching football on TV because she always gets angry with the players. I know her family, and they can play the guitar very well, but she cannot. Nevertheless, she can dance quite well. I like her because she is a bit quirky and understands me very well. She often helps me with my English too, as she speaks it very fluently.
