Swimming Training Approach

We offer both group and individual training options to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.

Our 5 Technical Levels: A Progressive Learning Program

Our teaching program for children is structured across five technical levels. In each level, children will develop skills through a combination of games, exercises, and specific aquatic drills. This gradual progression leads to the mastery of all four swimming styles: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

Below is a brief description of the education offered at each level. We cordially invite you to visit us personally at our heated pool to learn more about the full program of activities and evaluate each level in detail.

Learning Program Summary: University of Chile Swim School

Our program is designed to build confidence and skill progressively:

  • Level 1: Frogs

This initial level focuses on encouraging comfort and basic water skills through games and positive experiences. It's about getting acquainted with the aquatic environment.

  • Level 2: Tadpoles

Building on Level 1, Tadpoles begin to learn proper swimming techniques. This includes initiating basic movements for the backstroke, focusing on arm and leg coordination, and preparing for more complex styles.

  • Level 3: Piriguines

In this level, swimmers focus on coordination and learning the complete butterfly and breaststroke styles. Preparedness for competition is introduced, including starts for front crawl and backstroke, and swimming longer distances.

  • Advanced Stroke Mastery

This level focuses on sophistication and absolute control of all four styles: front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Swimmers work on refining technique and efficiency, with tests conducted to achieve minimum required times.

Objective Assessment and Progress Tracking

To objectively assess the development and learning of each child enrolled in our program, we conduct regular technical evaluations and classification tournaments according to our schedule.

After each assessment, children receive a diploma and a detailed evaluation report, allowing parents to observe their child's technical progress in detail.

Our Core Teaching Principles

Our methodology is built upon the following principles:

  • Building learning experiences based on positive reinforcement.
  • Assessment of individual work to tailor instruction.
  • Education directed towards group dynamics while respecting individual pace.
  • Teaching the proper technique of all swimming styles.
  • Utilizing a cutting-edge methodology, incorporating both global and analytical exercise forms.
