Weather Forecasts and Reports

Mediterranean Weather Forecast

A strong northeasterly wind, currently force 7, is expected to increase to storm force 10 by late evening. Sea conditions will deteriorate rapidly, with waves becoming very rough to high, especially in open waters. Thunderstorms are forecast to develop throughout the region, accompanied by frequent lightning and heavy rainfall, which may be locally torrential near coastal zones. Visibility will be moderate but may drop significantly during showers and storm activity. A slight coastal surge is anticipated, and localized flooding in low-lying port areas cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will drop slightly due to the passing front, and barometric pressure is expected to fall steadily. Mariners are strongly advised to avoid navigation during this period and to remain updated through Navtex and coastal radio stations.

Palma-Ibiza-Denia Route Weather Report

During our journey from Palma to Ibiza and then to Denia, we encountered quite challenging weather conditions. At first, the sea was rough, with waves exceeding 2 meters in height, making navigation unstable. As we approached Ibiza, a dense fog covered the coast, significantly reducing visibility. Later, as we headed towards Denia, the wind picked up, reaching gusts of up to 30 knots, further complicating our journey. Despite intermittent rain, we managed to maintain our course, but the stormy conditions created moments of uncertainty. Fortunately, the crew stayed alert and was able to navigate the obstacles, safely reaching port.
