How much energy can the rays that emanate from the sun produce? The rays that emanate from the sun can produce nearly 1,000 watts of energy for every square meter of the earth’s surface.

What does every solar panel contain? Every solar panel contains many different silicon cells or solar cells.

What happens to the excess electricity that is not used? Excess electricity that is not used can be fed back to the grid.

Where are the photovoltaic cells found? These cells are commonly found on the front of calculators and small gadgets.

What are photovoltaic cells made up for? Photovoltaic cells are made up of semi conductive materials such as silicon

Machining

Machining is the use of machines to cut or shape metal parts using machine tools.

It goes without saying that it is an abrasive process that involves a lot of heat, a coolant fluid being used in the process, and material scraps called chips or swarf.

Regarding this process, it is generally done with the help of computer numerical control (CNC) computers which receive the information from the design software (CAD/CAM) that tells them the size and shape.

Last but not least, the most common machining techniques are, for example:

Milling

Firstly, milling which uses very sharp serrated cutting discs to shape parts placed in a fixed position on the machine. The discs rotate as they move over the workpiece surface.

Drilling

Secondly, drilling with drills and drill bits, which make circular holes. In the case of large holes, hole saws are used. In addition, this technique can be used on concrete, called diamond drilling, using crowns with industrial diamond edges.

Polishing

Finally, polishing, which consists of removing material from a surface using grinding wheels. This requires machines called grinders.
