The Kidnapping of Farrow
Chapter 1: The Message in the Book
Farrow has been kidnapped by the Amsterdam Ring, a notorious smuggling organization. He has left a message in a book that Leila, his wife, has found.
Chapter 2: The Smugglers' Journey
Some of the smugglers, Keesing and de Fries, are driving with Farrow to Luxor, to the tomb of Queen Axtarte. Another smuggler, Greer, is kidnapping Mrs. Farrow in a house in Cairo.
Chapter 3: The Radio Contact
Every night, there is radio contact between the smugglers. This radio contact must take place at 19:00, or Christine Farrow will be killed.
Chapter 4: The Steep Slope
Farrow orders Keesing and de Fries to drive up a steep slope so that an aircraft can see them. Salahadin, a pilot, flies to Luxor at that moment and sees two lorries driving in the desert.
Chapter 5: The Fingerprints
Upon arriving in Luxor, Salahadin learns that the fingerprints found in the black Mercedes match those of Jusef Strengel, a wealthy smuggler with a private collection of ancient artifacts.
Chapter 6: The Tomb
Salahadin believes that Farrow is in the first lorry and Strengel is in the second lorry, three kilometers behind them. With three policemen and Inspector Musa, Salahadin sets out in a Land Rover into the desert, heading for the tomb.
Chapter 7: The Search for Christine
In Cairo, Ahmed and Leila are still looking for Christine. Leila follows a young lady named Fatima to a house where she believes Christine may be held captive.
Chapter 8: The Entrance to the Tomb
Farrow, Keesing, and de Fries arrive at the tomb and find an entrance, but it is blocked by a large stone. They try to remove the stone with dynamite.
Chapter 9: The Scream
Suddenly, Farrow hears a scream. De Fries has fallen down and is dead. Farrow fears that Keesing is also dead, which would mean there would be no more radio contact.
Chapter 10: Strengel's Arrival
At that moment, another lorry stops, and three men in protective suits emerge, one of them being Jusef Strengel.
Chapter 11: The Shootout
As Farrow and Strengel talk, Keesing calls out and shoots at Strengel, but misses. Strengel's driver shoots at Keesing, who is not killed immediately but dies from the poison.
Chapter 12: The Mummy
Strengel and his helpers enter the tomb to retrieve the mummy. Farrow tries to establish radio contact.
Chapter 13: Salahadin's Arrival
A few minutes later, Salahadin arrives and hears a sound in the lorry. He finds Farrow and learns what has happened.
Chapter 14: The Radio Contact
The driver helps Farrow establish radio contact. Musa and the three policemen hide by the entrance of the tomb, while Salahadin stands in the entrance in the moonlight.
Chapter 15: The Rescue
The driver and Farrow find notes on how to make radio contact with Greer. They pretend that they cannot make good radio contact.
Chapter 16: Christine's Rescue
Leila, who is inside the house, overhears the men talking and quickly goes to find Christine.
