Italian School Trip Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Lido di Jesolo (Venice)

The trip was great, but it was pretty brief. The first day we went to Lido di Jesolo, near Venice, staying at Hotel Sofia. The hotel was a little dilapidated but was right in the center of the town. In the afternoon, we spent time on the beach playing and sunbathing. After dinner, we got ready and went for a walk.

Day 2: Venice and New Friends

The next day we traveled to Venice by boat and spent the whole day there. We met two boys, Fabian and Mirco. We arrived back at the hotel for dinner, and that night we went back to Lido. We visited a park and met two very nice Italian boys. We stayed late with them and went to the beach.

Day 3: Disappointment in Florence

The next day we traveled to Florence. The hotel was very far from downtown, so we didn't go out that night. I did not like Florence much; we only saw the Cathedral (Duomo) and a main square (Piazza).

Day 4 & 5: Rome and the Classics

The next day we went to Rome. The hotel was very cool. The first day in Rome, we bought food, and in the afternoon, we visited Vatican City. The next morning, we saw the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Afterward, during free time, we saw the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), the Pantheon, and the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna). That night we returned to the hotel for dinner. We did not go out in the evening because we had to pack and collect everything.

Departure

At four o'clock, we met the teachers and took the bus to the airport. At half past three, we arrived in Tarazona.
