Improving Employee Satisfaction and Motivation

As requested at the meeting of 27 February, here is my report.
How can we improve employee satisfaction?
The purpose of the report is to suggest ways to improve the employee satisfaction and the staff motivation. It is based on the figures in the book showing the percentages. I have decided to divide the report into three sections: background, findings, and recommendations.
Looking at the results (Background)
As can be seen in the table in our notes book, employee satisfaction has been falling over the last year, and employee turnover and guest satisfaction are both being affected. This has led to a situation where it is necessary to encourage the employees.
Keys of the problem (Findings)
The employee turnover is very high. As mentioned above, satisfaction is going down, but we need to start to improve that fact. Because we are losing money we spent on training our staff to get nothing from them. This cannot be the way.
Guest satisfaction is also low. The table in our book shows that there is a relation between our employee satisfaction and a low rate of guest satisfaction. Market share is being taken by our competitors.
A problem can be solved (Recommendations)
In conclusion, I suggest that the company should be able to improve employee satisfaction notably in a short period of time. My recommendations to achieve this are:
- Empowerment to our employees: They are also encouraged to be innovative and creative in improving their jobs.
- Listening and improving communication: For example, regular meetings between the executive team and department managers and maybe sessions with human resources department to address their complaints.
- Investing in training: This will remain important to get great and qualified employees. The hotel is losing a lot of money training people who leave their jobs. It is extremely necessary to recover the investment.
- Reward and recognition: This will be a way to improve employee motivation. That way will improve the benefits from guests in a short time. If the Katisha Hotel gets a good work environment and atmosphere, it will be possible to take back and improve the market share and the competitive set.
Finally, Katisha Hotel can be assured that there is a solution to the low employee satisfaction. But it will be necessary to make changes and make a great effort.
