Hello, I'm Laura and I'm going to talk about recycling.

- Recycling is a process whose objective is to convert waste into new products or raw materials for later use. Thanks to recycling, the disuse of useful materials is prevented, the consumption of new raw materials is reduced, in addition to reducing energy use, air and water pollution, and also reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to the production of plastics.
Recycling is a key component in contemporary waste reduction and is the third component of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, and recycle).
Types of bins for recycling: there are many types of containers for recycling, one for each category.
Blue bin (paper and paperboard): cardboard containers, boxes, trays... must be deposited in this container as well as newspaper, magazines, wrapping paper, advertising...
If they are stained with organic waste, such as paper rankings, they shouldn't go in this container.
Yellow bin (containers): in this all kinds of light containers such as plastic containers (bottles, bags, trays...) of cans should be deposited, in general, all those containers are identified by the green dot symbol.
Green bin (glass): glass containers are deposited in this container. But it should be borne in mind that you cannot deposit light bulbs, medicine bottles, glasses vases, cups, porcelain, or ceramics...
Gray bin: this is the container for all those wastes that are not recycled but cannot be used to compost either.
Brown bin: it consists of selectively collecting the organic waste of animal and vegetable origin that is generated in your home and depositing it in the brown container to transport it later to a composting plant.
Battery container: they are only for batteries because they are very polluting and cannot go in another container.
Clothes container: is used to donate clothes for those most in need.
Clean point (hazardous waste) such as mobile phones, cells, or batteries, oil...
Greta Thunberg: she is 17 and is a Swedish media activist focused on the risks posed by global warming.
Recently there was a demonstration of climate change in Madrid that Greta assists.
