SEA AND OCEAN CONTAMINATION

As we can see in the news and society, the oceans and seas are completely contaminated. The principal cause is humans. This has a lot of consequences in the ecosystem. There are different types of contamination, like the plastic droop in the ocean, factories, rubbish, ships fuel, etc.

This causes have negative consequences:

  • The problem of the plastic is that the animals mix up with their food and when they eat that plastic, they die. Also affects when moving in the water, they make injury with plastics and can cause death.
  • Because of the ships fuel pouring, the water contaminates, making ocean animals sick. Then if humans eat that fish with a disease, it can cause death in that person.
  • Also, the plastic contamination causes that in the ocean create a plastic islands with a lot of tons of human rubbish.

ECOSYSTEM:

The contamination has these consequences in the ecosystem: deforestation, lack of biodiversity, and global warming.

DEFORESTATION:

The accelerated destruction of the forests has put the species of the flora and fauna that depend on that ecosystem in a state of emergency. Many companies cut down the trees of the forests, then use the wood for various purposes. But as a result of that, the animals lose their residence, affecting the ecosystem directly.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Global warming nowadays is a problem in our lives. The pollution of the industrial companies breaks the ozone layer, allowing the ultraviolet rays to enter the atmosphere. As a consequence, the temperature of the earth increases, and the ice of the poles melt, changing the ecosystem. The species of that affected ecosystem are forced to migrate to search for a new life to survive.

LACK OF BIODIVERSITY:

The loss and degradation of habitat is the main cause of loss of biodiversity. By transforming them, we destroy the habitats of thousands of species. Often, the transformation is not complete, but there is deterioration of the composition, structure, or function of the ecosystems that impact the species.
