In my opinion, illiteracy is one of the biggest problems in the world today. I think that this is a significant problem because a lot of children can't write or read.

Uncertain Progress and Potential Causes

I'm not sure if this problem is getting better or worse. Maybe children don't write letters or read adventure books because they don't have any money to pay for a teacher.

A Personal Commitment to a Solution

I don't think that I will see an end to illiteracy in my lifetime. But if I were a politician, I would send money to charities to buy books, so that all children in the world can learn to write and read.
