- Susan Marshall: Hello. This is Susan Marshall. I’d like to book a room for a family of five, please – two adults and three children.
- Receptionist: A family of five… so you’ll need a suite.
- Susan Marshall: How much is a suite?
- Receptionist: That depends. For what dates?
- Susan Marshall: The second or third week in July.
- Receptionist: Oh, that’s high season.
- Susan Marshall: Oh, dear! Well, are there any suites available?
- Receptionist: Let me just check… I’m afraid we’re fully booked during the second week of July, but we do have some rooms available during the third week, starting 15th July.
- Susan Marshall: 15th July is fine.
- Receptionist: How long would you like to stay?
- Susan Marshall: For five nights.
- Receptionist: Then you’ll be leaving on 20th July. Would you prefer a smoking or non-smoking room?
- Susan Marshall: Non-smoking, please.
- Receptionist: Okay, that’s £208 a night. Ms. Marshall, can I have your address, please?
- Susan Marshall: 22 Mayfair Road, Essex, England. That’s M-A-Y-F-A-I-R.
- Receptionist: Okay, 22 Mayfair Road. That’s fine, Ms. Marshall.

- William: Great. By the way, we won’t be arriving until after midnight.
- Amanda: Thank you for letting us know. May I have your name, please?
- William: It’s William Conway.
