My Flat in Caranza, Ferrol
I live with my brother in a flat located in Caranza, a district of Ferrol in the north of Galicia. Our flat is in a residential area on the seventh floor.
It is small, featuring a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom. While I do not have a lot of furniture, I have everything I need.
There is no balcony, but I can see a small park from both the living room and the bedroom. I enjoy living here because it is near my NCO School and it is cheap; I pay 200 per month. However, the flat is quite noisy due to heavy traffic.
My Favorite Room: The Living Room
Located on the seventh floor, the living room is quite large and very bright thanks to two big windows.
Decor and Furnishings
- There are some flowers in a vase on a small table near the windows.
- A beautiful yellow carpet covers the floor.
- Instead of chairs, there are two beautiful old green sofas.
- Between the sofas is a glass coffee table.
- The sofas are adorned with lovely Indian cushions, which I bought in 2009 when I was on mission.
The walls are white, and there are no pictures in the room. There are some shelves in the corner. I do not keep a television in this room because I prefer to use my free time for studying, and I enjoy studying here.
Navigating the NCO School Campus
Firstly, you go through the main gate. You must walk to the gate guard shack and present your identification card.
Campus Layout and Key Areas
Just at the entrance, you can see the following:
- On the left: A parking area and the athletic track with a multipurpose sports field.
- On the right: Two main avenues—the King’s Avenue and the Queen’s Avenue.
If you take the second turning on the right, you will find several instructional buildings:
Instructional Buildings
The buildings include:
- The Bustamante Block
- The Osorio Block
- The Engines and Turbines Building
- The Electricity and Refrigeration Instructional Building
- The Maintenance Building
These facilities are fitted with classrooms, workshops, and simulators where servicemen are trained in different job fields.
Further along, you will find the parade ground and the barracks on the right. Finally, you can see the Recreational Building (known as REM).
My Brother's Messy Room
My brother always keeps his room in a mess; he is quite messy! He always tells me he doesn't have time to tidy up because he studies all day at university.
His bedroom is quite narrow. As I walk through the doorway, I can see his closet and his desk on the left. Turning left again, I find his bed and chest of drawers. There is no shelf.
The walls are blue, and there are some pictures of our family.
