Tutoring Action Plan (PAT)
The Tutoring Action Plan (PAT) is a document that lists all interventions that tutors and teachers must perform regarding mentoring. The process involves three stages: explanation, application, and evaluation.
Objectives of the PAT
- Provide coherence to the tutoring center.
- Facilitate orientations and materials for teachers.
The PAT must contain basic regulations, activity models, the conception of the mentoring center, scheduled sessions with class groups, and assessment criteria. It is essential that teachers evaluate the plan at the end of the school year to improve future functions. Three areas are involved:
- Family: Conduct individual interviews, communicate through notes and agendas, and inform parents of general questions during the first meeting of the year.
- Students: Understand group structure, conduct tutoring sessions, and assign responsibility for different tasks.
- Teachers: Share interview results with the teaching staff and agree on classroom management criteria.
Reception Plan
The Reception Plan is a set of actions implemented by schools to facilitate the adaptation of new students. Every school requires a reception plan to accommodate new arrivals, whether foreign or local.
Goals of the Reception Plan
- Ensure student adaptation to new teachers and school functions.
- Inform parents about the organization and activities of the center.
- Help students understand and learn conduct rules.
The plan may be adjusted based on the individual student. For foreign students, the adaptation process may be more complex due to language, culture, and customs, but the objectives remain the same. Teachers, headmasters, and classmates play a vital role in this process.
Coexistence Plan
The Coexistence Plan is a document outlining activities to improve school harmony. This project aims to provide students with the capacity to manage conflicts positively by teaching them necessary values, skills, and habits.
Goals of the Coexistence Plan
- Encourage the entire educational community to participate in managing activities.
- Promote a culture of mediation as a tool for conflict resolution.
- Guarantee a strong and flexible application of school rules.
- Help students interact effectively with themselves, others, and the world.
- Contribute to a culture of peace and non-violence.
While each center sets its own evaluation indicators based on specific goals, all centers share common objectives: ensuring the personal, academic, social, and professional success of all students.
