Personal Language Profile: Ane Ozamiz
My name is Ane Ozamiz, and I am 15 years old. I am Basque, so my mother tongue is Basque. Apart from that language, I can also speak English and Spanish.
English Learning Journey
I started learning English when I was in primary school. We studied colors, animals, numbers, etc. I was five years old when I started extracurricular activities. After that, when I was 8, I started attending academies.
Current Studies and Practice
At the moment, I’m studying English at secondary school. We use Macmillan materials. We study a lot of grammar and vocabulary, and we also do speaking practice.
Outside of school, I don’t really speak much English, but I actively engage with the language by:
- Watching many series and films.
- Listening to English music.
I like learning English by playing games in pairs. I usually make a few mistakes when I speak, but I write the corrections down and revise them from time to time.
