Hreinn Fridfinnsson's Art of Duality

The works of Hreinn Fridfinnsson are often structured around dualities such as left/right, past/present, vacuum/packed, and light/darkness. Hence the use of mirrors, which reflect not only the viewer but also the reflected.

In this exhibition, we can find several unique pieces. For example, in one corner of the gallery are placed dried tree leaves arranged from floor to ceiling. Or some strategically placed convex mirrors that reflect much of the exhibition.

Hreinn Fridfinnsson has shaped a delicate and unique style, unpretentious in materials, yet powerful in effect.

Susan Collis: Art of Deception

In this exhibition, nothing is as it seems. Susan Collis plays hide and seek with her art, inviting viewers to share in the discovery.

It is an ode to the small, simple, and forgotten – all that might otherwise go unnoticed. A pile of rubble becomes a work of great delicacy. Objects that appear to be waste are meticulously crafted from valuable materials.

Seemingly, the exhibition features bent screws, broken wood, stained cloth, and similar items. But upon closer inspection, we realize these are created intentionally. For example, the 'stains' are not actual stains but meticulous embroidery, and a tiny 'nail' on the ground is actually made of gold.

This apparent 'accident' is the result of a detailed and subtle artistic process.

Walk the Line Group Exhibition

Participating artists: Gonçalo Sena, Miren Doiz, André Romao, Mª Jesús Garcés, Busto Bocanegra, and Kiko Perez.

This is a group exhibition in which we can see several works by these artists. Examples include a series of small compositions in the form of thread grids on paper, or a work based on geometric shapes.

Dora Garcia: "Piece Speaks"

Dora Garcia's exhibition utilizes video installation and photography, presenting a series of pieces with a common theme: interpellation with the public. Therefore, the exhibition is titled "piece speaks".

In each piece, a character addresses an audience – sometimes an audience of a single member, other times directly addressing the viewer of the exhibition.

Every Step Counts Exhibition

Participating artists: Loreto B., Carlos Fdez-Pello, Javier Fresneda, Julio Galeote, José Enrique Mateo León, Paloma Polo, Daniel Silvo, and Jesús Pedraza.

This exhibition presents the work of nine young artists (under thirty-five) who demonstrate a variety of artistic techniques, translating their interests into intimate and daily experiences.

Examples in this exhibition include Loreto B.'s Protocols, an installation with a strong social purpose, utilizing video art, installation, and drawings. Another installation is Carlos Fdez-Pello's Useful to a European Summit. This work questions absolute truths and political considerations.
