To select colors, simply click on the color button. This action opens a window displaying all available colors within the Color Palette Panel.
Applying Colors to Text
To change the color of text within your document, follow these steps:
- Select the text or text block you wish to modify.
- Click the Fill Color option in the Properties Inspector.
- Choose a color from the color window that appears.
Managing Color Palettes
To access and work with the Color Palette, navigate to the Window menu, then select Others, and finally Color Palette.
Creating and Swapping Color Palettes
- Select the Mixers tab from the Color Palette Panel

- Choose the four base colors for your document using the fill color boxes.
- Utilize the HSB Color Wheel on the right side of the panel to fine-tune and modify your palette

- If your document requires two different palettes, click on the second palette and select its colors. To switch between these palettes, click the two Replace Color icons.
Selecting and Applying Colors
To select and apply a color to a color box or fill area, first click on the target color box. Then, choose one of the following methods:
- To apply a color directly from the Color Swatch, select it from the available options.
- Use the Eyedropper Tool to select a color from any visible part of your screen.
- To apply a transparent fill, click the Transparent Button within the color window.
Adding or Replacing Swatch Colors
If a specific color isn't available in your current color palette but is present elsewhere on your canvas or within an image, you can easily add it to your Color Swatch. Follow these steps:
- Select the Eyedropper Tool from the Tool Panel.
- In the Properties Inspector, specify the number of pixels to be sampled from the image.
- Click precisely on the spot containing the desired color. A color pop-up window will open, displaying the hexadecimal value of the selected color in the top-left corner.
- To add the color: Move the eyedropper to the first available empty space after the last color in the Swatch panel.
- To apply the color to an object: Click over the object or text you wish to apply the color to.
- To replace an existing color in the Swatch panel: Hold down the Shift key and position the eyedropper pointer over the color you wish to replace.
- Click to either add the new color or replace the existing one. The color is now available for use on other images or text elements.
Identifying Color Values
The precise value of colors, often represented in hexadecimal numbers, can be determined in several locations: the Mixers tab, the color pop-up window, or the Information Panel accessible from the Window menu.
Viewing Color Values
To view the specific value of a color, follow this procedure:
- Select the Eyedropper Tool from the color mixer.
- Drag the eyedropper to the color you wish to identify. The color window will then display both the color itself and its corresponding value.
