My Best Friend Dalia — Menorca to Madrid

As years go by, many people leave, but not all; there are many who stay by your side year after year. These people could be friends or family. In my case, I would like to write about my best friend. Her name is Dalia. Her name is Dalia, and she is 17. She was born in Menorca in 2001. She is tall and thin, and also somewhat strong and fit because she does sport every single day. In terms of personality, she is intelligent, hard-working, kind, and friendly. However, she is a bit talkative. Regarding her physical appearance, she has long blonde hair. Even so, she doesn't have any freckles; she wears glasses.

Sports and Moving to Madrid

She loves playing tennis and has been playing since she was 5. A couple of years ago she moved to Madrid for family issues, and this year she started her studies there.

Long-Distance Friendship

As I said before, she lives in Madrid but I live in Menorca. For this reason, we usually see each other from time to time, either because she comes to the island for a few days or I go there. However, we stay in contact all day by WhatsApp, Skype, or other social media.

Childhood Memories

We have known each other since we were children. Before she went to Madrid, we had always been together in class. The most beautiful moments and experiences that I have from our childhood are many. For instance, one of the things I love about our relationship is that just looking at each other, we start to laugh for a long time. When I am with her, I am really happy and I disconnect from all the problems I could have in that moment.

Arguments and Reconciliation

On the other hand, we have also experienced less pleasant moments. We don't have the same points of view all the time, and for this reason we argued quite a lot, though not as much as a few years ago. We had a period in which we were always angry with each other. She used to attack me until I got very angry. But minutes later we always made up.

What I Admire About Her

One thing I admire about her is the smile she always has on her face. I usually tell her that I would like to have these qualities because she can take everything in a positive way and more comfortably. For instance, if she has a problem with her parents, when she comes to see me she doesn't show that she was arguing at home minutes earlier, something I am not able to do.

Our Friendship Today

In these five years we have been friends. She has become an important and essential person in my life. I love her so much and I hope that our relationship will never end.
