A Typical Day in My Life

I get up at eight o'clock in the morning. I go to school by car. I study and I always write in my notebooks. I sometimes have lunch in a cafeteria, and I attend my classes in the afternoon. I finish school at four o'clock. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to the swimming pool. I arrive home at six o'clock and I have dinner. I often watch TV in the evening, and I don't play computer games. I usually go to sleep at eleven o'clock.

Discovering Barcelona: A Beautiful City

Barcelona is one of the biggest cities in Spain. It is a very beautiful city, and it has many interesting places to visit. The cathedral is in the old city center, and next to it, there are lots of streets full of shops. There, people buy souvenirs and clothes. Barcelona is located on the seaside, and it has a beautiful beach to go for a walk or sunbathe. Tourists normally walk in the “Ramblas” and along “Paseo de Gracia” to see some famous buildings, such as “La Pedrera”.

Gaudí, the most important architect in Catalonia, designed “La Pedrera” and many other famous buildings, such as “La Sagrada Familia”. “La Sagrada Familia” is the best monument in the city. It is magnificent, and it is the most original cathedral in Spain. The best way to move around in Barcelona is the underground, but there is also a tourist bus to visit the most important monuments.

An Unexpected Holiday Adventure

Last year, I went on holiday. I drove to the sea with my dad. On the first day, we looked at the beautiful buildings and ate in lots of cafes. The next day was very hot, so we drove to the sea. We left our clothes in the car and swam all day. At six o'clock, we walked to our car, but the car wasn't there. We bought some clothes and went to the Police Station. The policeman was nice, and we slept in the police station.

Protecting the Environment: Simple Steps

How to protect the environment at a domestic level is a good question that we all should think about and put into practice. First of all, I think that we should all recycle at home. We can separate paper from plastic and glass. I also think that we could reuse papers to write on them (a shopping list, for example), to clean the windows, or even to wrap up things. Secondly, we could use a fabric bag when we do our shopping in the supermarket, and we could also buy environment-friendly products. Finally, we could buy and use recycled products, such as paper or bottles. In conclusion, I think that there are lots of things that we can do every day to help the environment, and we should start doing them.

  • Recycle paper, plastic, and glass.
  • Reuse paper for various purposes.
  • Use fabric shopping bags.
  • Buy eco-friendly and recycled products.

City Life vs. Country Life

In this composition, I am going to write about the advantages and disadvantages of living in the country or in a big city.

In my opinion, both options have positive and negative sides. Living in a city is very interesting because you have a wide range of activities to choose from, such as going to the cinema or the theater or going shopping at a big department store. However, life is more stressful, and you depend a lot on your car or public means of transport.

In the country, you can get everywhere on foot, and life is healthier and more peaceful. However, the choice for free-time activities is almost zero, unless you are a wild nature lover who likes hiking or walking, given you get nice weather.

In conclusion, you have to think about the things you like doing in your free time before deciding where to buy your house.

The Life of Vincent van Gogh

In this composition, I am going to write about the life of Vincent van Gogh. Vincent van Gogh was born on March 30th, 1853, in the Netherlands. He is considered the greatest Dutch painter after Rembrandt. He lived in France for some years, and he was often visited by his brother Theo. All of his work was done in a period of ten years, before he had a mental illness (probably bipolar disorder). His mental state became worse, and finally, he committed suicide on July 29th, 1890. He became famous after his death, especially following a showing of his works in Paris eleven years after his death.
