New interface
Chops now has a more consistent, fast, and attractive interface. Also, the program windows are dockable, and you can customize the program in many different ways. Try the Options tab and the Window Layout button.
Edit several documents at once
Another key development in Chops is the ability to work with several documents at once. Now you can create a summary of a document in the same window or compare differences between two texts, for example. Try opening a new blank document and clicking the Options tab, or drag the open document tab to rearrange the desktop layout.
Live preview and contextual tabs
Try clicking the picture accompanying this text to see one of Chops' new features: contextual tabs. These tabs let you edit the properties of images, tables, links, and abbreviations conveniently and easily. In addition, some buttons have a live preview feature that allows you to see a change in format before applying it. Try selecting this paragraph and hovering the mouse over different text sizes to preview formatting.
Easily change text
How many times have you downloaded text from the Internet and had to fix formatting after copying and pasting? It is now easier with the new tool to replace words with synonyms, where you can choose, word for word, a synonym so the text reads naturally. Try it in the General tab, Thesaurus button.
Navigation menu
Navigate between parts, sections, images, and tables in an organized manner using the new navigation pane. Try the General tab and the Search button.
Printing enhancements and text compression
Get more from Chops when printing. Several line and print improvements plus a new and improved text compressor allow more text to be easier to read in the smallest space possible. Try the General tab and the Compress text button.
Create your own templates
In Chops 6, you can create your own templates easily and use them in any layout you want. Try the Options tab, then Template > Create New.
